Unfortunately I have a memory like a sieve when it comes to remembering names, and it remained that way in Germany.
So on a watery theme and with a bit of help from Mr Google I think this is the River Ems, and I do remember it flows into the North Sea.
Very pretty…
Meantime, little ‘un got a free ride along the cycle path…
Back home with ganmaa…
And autos…

On another day we went for a walk round the beautifully manicured gardens of a castle near Gutersloh.
Oh look, black swans…
Fascinating…
Hard work…
Playing hide and seek with dad…
Told you it was a neat and tidy place…
With a working water wheel…
It was so hot, that fountain looked very inviting…
Then later on we went to a posh pub, for a posh meal sat outside in glorious sunshine…
What a great day…!
Looks like you had a great holiday…by boat? Guess I need to look further back to find out 🙂

Hi V,
FANTASTIC!!
Sod the boat, the time it took to get to the airport was about the same time we were in the air lol. Then when Liam picked us up it was another 45 mins by car before we “landed” at his house…!
Worth every minute 🙂 But could be another year before we see them again. Liam goes on another tour
1st Oct (dave's birthday) 😦
If we're lucky he'll have R&R & we might get chance to see them, but it's doubtful – not enough time…
Hx
