De Icing The Plane

Yes, when we set off on 19 January it was minus 5 degrees, they even had to de-ice the plane before we could take off.

No, I wasn’t stood outside on the tarmac when I took these…

Then we had to wait for it all to “set” a while, a bit like icing a birthday cake, only without any candles attached. (God forbid).

So it was a case of just over 2 hours later, landing in Alicante, the ambient temperature had increased by 26 degrees. And after we ourselves had defrosted, (aboard the defrosted plane) we were met with this…

Hard to believe, we weren’t sure what the orange ball thing was that floated about in the sky, but it was very welcome.

PS: I’ve only just had chance to put all the holiday photos on my laptop. Hmm, very impressive, all 534 of them…
