There’s been a very strange sight here today (and yesterday). This alien UK weather means that every boat’s got front doors, back doors, side hatches open, and lux con’s everywhere have all sides up. Never seen this phenomenon since, well, I can’t remember…
This is the temperature we woke up to this morning in our own lux con…
Almost off the scale, and the chairs were too hot to sit on…!
But we can’t, mustn’t complain. Except for one thing, I think the Wi-Fi towers here have gone into melt down with the heat. Will post this when I can.
Right, that’s it, I’m off to watch Andy Murray (Mint), thrash Novak, but I don’t think he will. Should be close though…

SEVERAL HOURS LATER, IMPORTANT UPDATE:
Wi Fi back on and Andy Murray IS MINT! Yes, our very own world number two beat the world number one in THREE STRAIGHT SETS at the Wimbledon final. That’s SEVENTY SEVEN years after the last Brit won Wimbledon, (1936).
He tweeted after: “Can’t believe what’s just happened!!!”
Makes you feel proud to be British, but there’s only our soldiers and our outstanding sporting legends can do that nowadays. I was in tears, no, WE were in tears! No, the whole country was!
It was brilliant when he won the Olympics last year, and he got an OBE from her majesty, now we’re all calling him Sir. One step up to knighthood…
A hush descended over the marina this afternoon, chairs on the bow and stern of boats were vacated during the match…
It’s been a weird and wonderful day, so all I can say is:
WELL DONE ANDY, THAT WAS AN AMAZING FEAT OF SUPER HUMAN ENDURANCE. YOU’VE MADE HISTORY AGAIN…
PS: Blooming heck, we’re all gobsmacked and knackered…
