Not everywhere in Spain is going down the drain…
I could get into the politics and spin of what we hear about it, but it’s not my place. So make of this what you will…
Just 2 miles from where we are, (the walk takes us past all of 5 abandoned properties), this apartment complex is under construction:
Set about a mile back from the med in the distance, these cranes swing back and forth like elegant air borne dancers …
No we’re not in France! The roundabout here has “Hello” written in 4 different languages…
And it’s all opposite one of the largest shopping centres in Europe. It was set to open in September 2012 – which it did, on time…
Photos from up on the third floor where all the restaurants are, lit up at night. No it wasn’t empty! The restaurant here had closed off the outdoor section – because the sun had gone down…
Yes there are places in Spain that are struggling, just like the rest of the world. But what people aren’t informed of is that it’s regional here.
Note: About “the sun going down,” well at this time of year it averages between 10 – 12 degrees overnight. But when the temperature has been double or even more than that during the day, believe me, you feel it! Go on,, call us soft…
You're soft!

I wondered about the regional thing. As I told you, my friend in Valencia said it's very bad there and also further south – Madrid too. But I'm guessing that where the major tourist centres lie, it's probably not so bad. Glad you are feeling upbeat about it all!

Yeh, I think you're right Val, here the cosmopolitan thing really works, no clicky stuff involved. We knew this from earlier in the year, else we wouldn't have considered it 🙂
