With sparkling diamonds and red ruby´s ruled out, this is as good as it gets… Very nice, but not something you could hang round your neck and gloat to your friends about.
Him: “Well dear, that´s as close as you´re going to get to owning a red rock — capturing one.”
Me: “Why thank you darling, the romance is truly underwhelming…”
I´ve mentioned before how (this kind of) red rock erodes from below, often leaving a precarious “shelf” at the top.
Here´s a fine example, the obvious culprit being the sea. But unless the Med was about 50 foot higher in the dark ages, it´s not to blame…
This tree on the edge of existence must´ve made a serious mistake about where to plant itself…
