My Totally Weird Cabbage Lettuce

I’m sat here wondering if my blog is turning into a garden makeover programme… Hopefully not says the mistress of misfortune.

So here it is, the first ever cabbage lettuce…

As you can clearly see, it´s taking over big style…

What began life as a tiny little three pronged effort has turned into something that belongs in a science museum. So I´m in four minds as to what to do about it:

1) Submit it to the Spanish equivalent of the British museum (for a small fee).

2) Submit it to one of our neighbours (for a small fee).

3) Re-pot it in it´s own private space.

4) Dump it.

If you´d like to get in there first, simply contact Guardia Civil and they´ll sort out the paperwork. They might even arrange free delivery, be a nice day trip out to keep them occupied for a while. Note: Please bear in mind, if you´re outside of this country, it´ll have to sit in quarantine for six weeks…

So while we´re still on the subject of strange botanical features, this was worth a photo too:

A wild rubber plant TREE…

Thankfully it´s got nothing to do with me or my botanical expertise. All it´s leaves pointed up on high to the heavens with thanks,, after I´d walked past…
