What The Romans Did

Yesterday we went for a walk round the rocky coastline at Pilar De La Horadada. We’ve seen it in the distance many times, but never explored it. Fascinated, we kept walking, the rocks were not a natural shape.. At some point mankind had intervened.

Then we found out why.

When the romans invaded they turned it into a quarry, mined the landscape rocks and the scars remain forever. {The sun was going down as I took these photos, it´s the only time shadows appear!}

Of course we headed back to the beach later, it´s like a magnet.

Then went to one of our favourite beachside restaurant´s for a meal, sat outside in the fading sun. How´s that for a salmon steak? Big enough?!
